Hello there beautiful one!

I thought it would be fun and beneficial to start a weekly email series all about the 7 MAIN Chakras. There are FAR more than just the 7 and maybe I will teach on some of that after I wrap up the 7, but I really want to focus on these main 7.

In these emails I will discuss each chakras purpose, function, how to identify it’s under/over charge, how to bring it back to balance, affirmations for each chakra, and how to connect more deeply with each of your chakras.

Now, I know I may have some in this list who may think, “I know a lot about the chakras I don’t need this.”…….I have studied and worked with chakras intentionally for over 12-years now and I can say from life experience that NO MATTER how much you think you know or how much work you think you’ve done…the chakras always need clearing, protection, boosting, and love.

And the chakra you most often dismiss and think, “That one is so boring…I don’t need to work with that! I want to jump all up in my Higher Chakras!” IS indeed the ONE you most need to work with. So, let’s get started and start to dive on into the the ROOT CHAKRA.

But first, what are chakras? Let’s review shall we:
Chakras are life force energy, wheels of life. chi, and energy that spins/moves around in the body that governs certain body parts/energies/ways of feeling-being-acting-moving through life, and works together in a synergistic harmony for overall wholeness in self.

What are the 7 MAIN Chakras?
The Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye, and the Crown.

Now, onto our ROOT CHAKRA………

The ROOT CHAKRA is the foundation of our chakra system.

It is crucial to have a balanced, open, and healthy chakra system. Creating connection, innerstanding, and energy play from the base up will only serve you.

Having a balanced Root Chakra will help you to open, cleanse, and balance all the other chakras. It IS KEY to have this chakra open, balanced, and grounded BEFORE you move into ANY HIGHER Chakra work. Why? It helps you to be able to innerstand, assimilate, and ground in any of the information you have coming into your channel.

The Root Chakra is FOUNDATIONAL for trusting ourselves and the outer world. This area can become easily blocked if our caregivers in our early lives did not show or give us the attention and nurturing, we needed to thrive. (think re-parenting work here)

Tending to those roots and doing some weed eating and root pulling. Laying down NEW roots of the energy we desire to cultivate.

Tools to help BALANCE this Chakra:

1. Earthing:
Bare feet to the Earth. 20-min a day/minimum. Earth is the BEST grounding source. Fills us up with her energy while allowing us to release and dump extra/un-serving energy. You can achieve this by also touch a plant, bush, tree, or flower that has it’s roots connected directly to Mother Earth too.

2. Essential Oils:
Apply any of the following to your hands and rub into the base of the spine:
*Thieves, Cinnamon Bark, Patchouli, or Grounding
Young Living Blend Oil

Say this affirmation after applying while cupping hands to nose area while doing deep inhalations of the EO (do 3 times):

"I am safe, and my needs are met."
“I am safe in my physical body.”
“I am always supported”

Do this as often as you feel the need to use the oil. Until you feel in harmony.

3. Crystal Therapy:
Wear, hold. or meditate with the any of the following crystals:

Garnet, Red Jasper, Black Onyx, or Black Tourmaline

Pick whichever you feel guided to. When meditating I like to place the stone right over chakra area on the front of my body and let the crystal go to work.

4. Color Therapy:
Wear this color (clothes, nail polish, jewelry, etc.) or decorate your space with this color to help balance this chakra. RED is the color of the Root Chakra. Even just envisioning red in your mind’s eye will help too.

5. Food Therapy:
Root Vegetables are a great choice and things like: Beets, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, or turnips.

Eating fruit such as strawberries, apples, or pomegranates will also help to strengthen your Root Chakra.

Drinking Herbal Teas like Tulsi, Nettle, or Dandelion Tea are wonderful too.

6. Physical Movement:
Dancing is ONE of the best ways to ground energy and release what is not needed. Twerking is a GREAT root chakra grounder, cleanser, and activator.

7. Shower:

YES-water is SUCH a fucking great chakra cleanser. Works on ALL chakras.

Just envision the water being a beautiful golden light that is literally washing away all the energy that is not needed while filling you up with what you need. See the excess and un-serving energy flowing right on down the drain.

Make sure to thank the water spirits too after cleansing your energy. I have heard stories from others who worked with water spirits, didn’t properly give thanks, and then the had a plumbing issue shortly after.

Just be sure to always thank your helping spirits.

8. Meditation:
I don't think I need to go into this in much detail. Meditation is helpful and key to keeping our energy/chakras in balance. (Body Scanning would be a great meditation to do to help you drop deeper into feeling safe in your body)

9. Energy Healing and/or Soul Support:
Seeking out a trusted healer, therapist, Soul Coach, or anyone who can HOLD the space for you during your healing process that can also be a guide that serves your Soul's unpacking and healing process.

I invite you into picking any of these suggested tools to work with you Root Chakra this week. Do them daily and do them often. Tune into how your Root feels BEFORE you start this work and then notice how it feels after. I would also encourage you to keep a journal of sorts documenting your journey with your Root Chakra for the next 7 days.

I think it’s a really cool thing to see how just doing 7 days of INTENTIONAL work/love with a particular chakra can create some really beautiful shifts. I would love to hear back from you as you journey with your Root Chakra too, so feel free to reply to this email and let me know.

I will be sending weekly emails with our “Chakra of the Week” each Monday. I hope this helps you work with your own energy, get to know it better, and also learn some new ways to alchemize your energy.

Have a beautiful week!

Hugs,
Nichol
