Welcome to Week 4 of your Chakra Series! This week you will be getting to know and diving deeper into your Heart Chakra. I’m so excited to share with you all the information and tools so that you can develop the most connective relationship to yours.

How was week 3 for you and your Solar Plexus? How did you honor yours each day? For me, it was lots of sunshine (lucky for me it was pretty sunny here), using Solar Plexus aligned essential oils, eating lots of yellow foods, drinking loads of Chamomile Tea, and funny enough…wearing yellow a few times. (I didn’t plan it…I just gravitated to it and then I would remember, “Oh, yeah! It’s SP weeks!”).

I hope you enjoy this newsletter and all the fun info surrounding you and your chakra this week….so, let’s get into it, shall we?

Heart Chakra

This chakra honors the heart. It rules love, our breath, balance in our life, our relationships, giving and receiving, worthiness of love, Mothering, and how we view unity (with ourselves and others). It is all about higher energies of love and compassion when healthy and in balance. The urge to love and to be loved radiates from this center.

A balanced and happy heart are crucial for a life of quality. A balanced heart chakra will let you know that you are NEVER EVER alone. It is the “Kingdom of God”. This chakra is the connection to the Divine, God, Goddess, and Jesus. It reminds you that you are NEVER seperate, nor alone. It is your connective energy space to link and sync up to this unconditional love.

The energy here is loving, soft, and compassionate when in balance. It is the center of your deep bonds with other beings, your sense of caring and compassion, your feelings of self-love, altruism, generosity, kindness, and respect.

The Heart Chakra is an integrating and unifying chakra - bringing to wholeness - as such, it is your healing center. Indeed, most spiritual traditions recognize love as the ultimate healing force.

This area is a huge overflowing spring of joy, love, compassion, and wholeness when it is healthy and in balance.

When this chakra is open and energy is flowing freely, you are not only loving to others, but you are also loving to yourself. You know when you need to say no and when you need care and self-nurturing.

***The HEART chakra is the energy point that connects the lower foundational chakra energies to the higher Divine chakra energies. Therefore, it is SO important to have a healthy, radiant, clear, and free flowing heart center. It' connects the lower and higher chakra sets. This is the "Middleman" of our energy center. ***

Location:
Middle of chest. Between breastbone area.

Develops:
6-12 years old

During this stage we take a "pause" from the active development inward stages and start to develop more deeply our connections to our outer world, community, humanity, peers, the collective, and those we interact with. During this time in our lives, we truly strive to be viewed as "good" and to make the right choices. We also learn more deeply about sharing, caring, and how to connect with others. We pick up our values and morals during this phase because we are actively practicing and witnessing this flow of energy interaction. We are in a gathering of information and date phase.... filtering through the heart chakra. We desire to connect to others.

So, what happens if you try to connect and are rejected?

You may feel as though you are unsuccessful at this connection process and may begin to develop the belief that "I am not good enough or worthy". You may start to think you are unlovable. And as a Ego protection.... you may begin self-sabotaging ways or just shut down and shut people out. This further disconnects you from your heart chakra energy. This may lead to lack of empathy and fear of getting close to others.

Tools to help BALANCE this Chakra:

1. Earthing:
Bare feet to the Earth. 20-min a day/minimum. Earth is the BEST grounding source. Fills us up with her energy while allowing us to release and dump extra/un-serving energy.

2. Essential Oils:
Apply any of the following to your hands and rub onto the HEART CENTER:

Joy, Rose, Jasmine, Acceptance, or Lavender.
*Young Living Blend Oil

Say this affirmation after applying while cupping hands to nose area while doing deep inhalations of the EO (do 3 times):

"I give and receive love with ease."
OR
"I am loved."
OR
"I love myself so much.”
OR
“I am full of unconditional love for myself and others.”
OR
“I am Divinely connected to my heart space, Higher Self, and Jesus.”

Do this as often as you feel the need to use the oil. Until you feel in harmony and balanced in your heart space.

3. Crystal Therapy:
Wear, hold. or meditate with the any of the following crystals:

Rose Quartz or Malachite.

Pick whichever you feel guided to. When meditating I like to place the stone right over chakra area on the front of my body and let the crystal go to work. Or carry this with you wherever you go. (pursue, pocket, bra, etc.)

4. Color Therapy:
Wear this color (clothes, nail polish, jewelry, etc.) or decorate your space with this color to help balance this chakra. GREEN is the color of the HEART Chakra. Even just envisioning the color GREEN in your mind’s eye will help too. (I also like to envision it being speckled with pink glitter infused energy too)

5. Food Therapy:
Leafy Greens (Kale, Arugula, Spinach, Romaine, etc.), broccoli, asparagus, collard greens, kiwi, green grapes, green apples, limes and lime water, pears, bean sprouts, zucchini, and Hawthorne Berries.

Drinking teas such as: Hawthorn Berry, Hibiscus, Green Tea, Jasmine, or Rose herbal teas.

Green smoothies are a great addition too : )

6. Physical Movement:
Yoga is great for this chakra. Especially a slower flow that is more focused on breath work. Since the heart is associated with air, this chakra will benefit from breath work. Even just sitting still for 5 minutes while listening to some uplifting music and just breathing into heart center (focus on heart center while breathing).

Poses such as heart openers while breathing in and out of (visualize breathing in and out of this space) are really wonderful.

AND, doing ANY physical activity that brings you JOY is such a wonderful way to tap into your heart chakra energy.

7. Shower:
YES-water is SUCH a fucking great chakra cleanser. Works on ALL chakras.

Just envision the water being a beautiful golden light that is literally washing away all the energy that is not needed while filling you up with what you need. See the excess and un-serving energy flowing right on down the drain.

Make sure to thank the water spirits too after cleansing your energy. I have heard stories from others who worked with water spirits, didn’t properly give thanks, and then they had a plumbing issue shortly after.

8. Meditation:
Heart Coherence meditations are a great one to tap into for expanding, sensing, and radiating your heart chakra energy.

What you do is start by centering your breathing and finding grounding space within your body. Once you feel grounded you will want to take your attention down and into your heart space (maybe placing a hand over your heart for deeper connection).

Now bring to your mind’s eye a person, a place in nature, or a moment in time that brings you a BIG sense of love/joy/compassion/gratitude.

Focus on that “thing” for the next several minutes as you let it build energy within you with each inhale and exhale. (I like to hold my breath at the top for a few counts to really allow the energy to build before I exhale).

You can do this in silence, with music, or you can find a variety of guided meditations online if you desire that supportive flow.

9. Nature Therapy:
Get outside and soak up the fresh air. Since this chakra is that of the element of AIR, it is highly beneficial to get outside in nature and to take several deep cleansing breaths.

Take nice, slow, mindful, and cleansing breaths. Imagine as you breathe it in that the air flow coming into your nose is GREEN and let it flow into your heart chakra.

As your exhale OUT YOUR NOSE....envision it is a beautiful golden light being radiated from your heart chakra to the outer world around you. Do this about 10 times. You will find it really raises your vibes and calms you down. Try it : )

The Heart Chakra is all about LOVE, how we love ourselves and others, the ability to give and receive love, intuitive trust, soul whispers, and so much more.

The way we treat ourselves is how we allow others to treat us and how we treat ourselves is how we show up for others.

Tap into your heart center and get to work. This is ESPECIALLY important energy center. Why not getting it flowing with such vitality and radiance?

If our lower 3 Chakras have blockages or do not have the free-flowing energy moving...we will struggle to open our hearts up fully.

To truly tap into the heart space, we need to recognize JUST how important this lower triangle of the ROOT-SACRAL-SOLAR all are.... this free-flowing connection will help to open the heart to more oneness and connection to the not only the world around us, but the one with ourselves as well. So, if you have not been putting in the aligned action with the first 3 chakras, please be sure to do that first : )

I hope you enjoyed all the information I put into this weeks Chakra Series, if you have any questions, please let me know and as always, if you have any shares from weeks prior or this week you want to share with me…please do. I love to read your emails and your experiences.

Sending you waves of love and hugs,
Nichol
